A One-of-One
Geometric Paper Sculpture

Lunar Lotus Bloom is a handmade paper sculpture shaped through modular geometry, repetition, symmetry, patience, and care. Its twelvefold lotus geometry can be read as a bloom, a star, a crown, a memorial geometry, and a spatial study.

It is not a product, prototype, or lunar structure. It is an original artwork — a physical artifact from the journey behind CATs&DOG® and The Moon Family.

Development & Provenance

Lunar Lotus Bloom developed over time rather than in a single making session. Its first core was formed in November 2022, with the main layered development completed in the last quarter of 2023 and the final form documented in December 2023.

The physical sculpture represents more than 121 hours of direct handmade work. This does not include the additional time invested in photography, documentation, storytelling, auction preparation, and the development of the surrounding Lunar Lotus Bloom archive.

Four Levels of Growth

The sculpture developed through at least four visible levels: a central core, an inner bloom, a middle spatial layer, and an outer crown. Each layer grows from the previous one, turning repetition into depth and geometry into presence.

This layered growth gives Lunar Lotus Bloom more than one reading: it can be seen as an artwork, a memorial study, a spatial model, and a symbolic artifact of transformation.

Twelvefold Lotus Geometry

The sculpture carries a twelvefold lotus geometry inspired by the symbolic depth of the Persian lotus: renewal, peace, resilience, cosmic harmony, dignity, and remembrance.

Like a lotus rising from mud, Lunar Lotus Bloom imagines beauty and meaning emerging from difficult ground — from Earth memory toward lunar imagination.

Orientation.jpg
Orientation & Perspective

Lunar Lotus Bloom can be experienced from multiple viewpoints. From above, it appears as a radial bloom. From the side, it reveals layered depth, shadow, and spatial structure. When displayed in another orientation, the same object reveals a second identity.

Its value is not only in one fixed image, but in the way the form changes through position, light, and perspective.

Artist Statement

Lunar Lotus Bloom began under the working title Circular Tomb. Its first core was formed in November 2022, during a period when questions of memory, exile, dignity, and future return were deeply present for me.

Over time, the work became more than a memorial study. It became a quiet record of my journey as an architect and expat entrepreneur — from years in construction on Earth to Moon-to-Earth construction innovation.

For me, the sculpture asks a simple question: how can geometry, care, and commitment help us build better worlds?
